The Mother of Jesus, Mary, said in John 2:5 “Whatever Jesus says do it to the disciples.” This is how we receive the reward of willing obedience when we obey His instructions. So keep on being obedient it has dividends that pay off.
Loving God with all your heart and never depart from Him, but cleave to Him and depart from the world the flesh and the devil. In Deut. 30:6 it tells us that when we love God with all our heart and soul we will live and so will our seed which means our children.
What is the charge of the Lord? It is to walk in His ways, to keep his statutes, and His commandments, and His judgements, and His testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses. 1 Kings 2:3 The scripture goes on to say if you do this you will prosper in all that you do and wherever you go.
In the Book of Daniel in the Holy Bible we read that the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision which was the interpretation of the dream that the king had. Daniel 2:16-19. The Holy Spirit is all knowing and is able to reveal secrets when we ask Him and He shows mercy on us as He did for Daniel. After Daniel received the answer he blessed and thanked God back for telling him this secret. This is the way we receive more from the Holy Spirit as we are thankful for what we have been given.
God is all knowing therefore His wisdom, knowledge and understanding are unsearchable. No one can teach Him wisdom, knowledge and understanding because in Isaiah 40:13 it states, “Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being His counselor hath taught Him?” So if we lack wisdom lets ask God who gives it to all men liberally as stated in James 1:5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Let the love of God be shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit. This enables us to love God and love people unconditionally. In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 it talks about the real characteristics of love-suffers long, does not envy, is not puffed up, not easily provoked, and does not think evil. Lets walk in the God kind of love today towards others with the help of the Holy Spirit.
What does God require from us? But to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God the Holy Spirit. This is how we increase and multiply in the Grace of God on a daily basis. We also will treat people with honor and respect and not despise them regardless of their race or ethnicity. This is what Jesus meant by saying we should love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
We must ask the Holy Spirit to circumcise our hearts in order to avoid all worldliness and to adhere to the fear of God and depart from the world, the flesh and the devil. We therefore need to continue in intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Talking to Him on an ongoing basis and being led and guided by Him and not ourselves.
Our being willing and obedient to the Holy Spirit causes us to live under an open heaven. This enables us to walk in the fear of God and receive His comfort. The fear of God means to honor and respect Him and enjoy His comfort as a lifestyle.
The Lord admonishes us to turn away from all evil and then He will pour out His Spirit upon us to make known His ways to us so we can follow Him. Knowing the ways of the Lord enables us to have wisdom to be able to handle any situation that arises in our lives.
