Covet God the Holy Spirit

The Bible says covet earnestly the best gifts. What are these gifts that the Bible is talking about? These are the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. In 1 Corinthians 12:31 it states,”But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.” The nine gifts of the Holy Spirit are the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, Faith, gifts of healing, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, divers kinds of tongues, and finally interpretation of tongues.

The Joy of the Lord

The joy of the Lord is your strength. Neh 8:10  We can only be strong in the Lord and as we receive His joy from fellowshipping with Him we will continue to gain strength. The Holy Spirit will strengthen us as we spend time with him and ask Him to help us and strengthen us.  We receive joy as we are filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit has Gifts

Everyone loves gifts when they are freely given to them. The Holy Spirit gives to all men that receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior His gifts. These gifts are received as we ask for them. They are the gifts of: word of wisdom, faith, word of knowledge, gifts of healing, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, divers kinds of tongues, interpretation of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:5-11.

God is Good

God is so good to us. When we ask Him according to His Word in Psalm 143:10 “Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.”  Also in Nehemiah 9:20 “Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them….”

The Holy Spirit without Measure!

Just like Jesus has the Spirit without measure, let us also draw the Spirit without measure on ourselves because we are instructed that as Jesus is so are we in this world.

The Holy Spirit is unlimited in His ability to bless us.  As we keep on hungering and thirsting after Him, He will continue to fill us.  We also can receive more of the Holy Spirit by praising and worshiping Him at all times and not complaining about any situation we are going through but give it to the Lord.
